A little bit Mumford and Sons and a little bit Beach Boys, Little Wild is an album that blends generations, genres, and busts out some serious grooves.

Whether it’s the funk-inspired “get-to-the-floor” bassline that pounds through the title track, or the joyful chorus soaring over the pop banger "Dreaming Out Loud", or the beer-drenched pub anthem "High Spirits", Little Wild pays homage to the sing along albums of our youths. It calls us back to those perfect summer days: times spent together while our favourite songs played on repeat inside our heads.

That’s not to say that there aren’t moments of poignancy in this collection. The theme of lost love is one that surfaces again and again through the album. The delicate harmonies that buoy both "I Swam" and "Safe from Harm" showcase the band’s emotional depth and reveal them to be songwriters who understand love as something both rarely found and all too easily lost.

Above all, Little Wild is an album that captures and celebrates those moments of sublime: the warmth of togetherness, the excitement of new beginnings, and the rush of sheer joyful abandon.

It is an album whose heart looks fondly backwards but whose eyes are trained firmly on what comes next.
